Auction House Assistant

Mulberry Bank Auctions are looking for an enthusiastic Auction House Assistant for their busy Glasgow saleroom. The position will be full time.

Experience of auction houses is desirable but not essential as full training will be given.

The successful candidate must have the ability to work in a small team and be happy to turn their hand to all aspects of the business. A conscientious attitude and a strong work ethic are essential. To be considered for the position, the successful candidate must also be computer literate with experience of Excel, Word, Photoshop and picture editing and have excellent verbal and written communication skills.

You will be involved in but not restricted to the following duties:

  • Office administration
  • Data wiping for airport lost property auctions
  • Sale day duties
  • Pre and post sale tasks
  • Setting up the saleroom for auctions
  • Assisting with collections of small and large items
  • Unpacking and dealing with consignments
  • Liaising with clients
  • Research and cataloguing
  • Lot photography and editing
