This department deals with everything from retro and antique furniture, longcase and mantel clocks, Asian and other figurines and statues to vintage toys and Steiff teddy bears, as well as a host of other small collectable ephemera. MIRROR BACKED HALF MODEL OF S.S. BARON ARDROSSAN built in Port Glasgow by A. Rodger & Co. in 1905 for the Hogarth shipping line, the laminated and carved hull varnished with a black painted topside, mounted on a mirror within it's original wooden case with end mirrors and builders plate, 59cm x 284.5cm x 26cm Note; A. Rodger & Co was founded by Hugh Hogarth and was based at Ardrossan on the Clyde, the company's ships were known locally as the Hungry Hogarths. The ships name Barron Ardrossan is one of the titles held by the Earls of Eglinton who established the port of Ardrossan in 1805. The shipping company had to seek special permission to use the title for the ship.

VINTAGE SCOTTISH SHIPBUILDER'S BRASS PLAQUE marked 'No. 589 Scotts' Shipbuilding and Engineering Co. Ltd. Greenock', of rectangular form and mounted on wooden panel, 33cm x 50cm Note: The plaque is from yard 589, where Scott's Shipbuilding and Engineering built the Diesel Naval Submarine, Trooper, in 1942. The firm was founded in 1711 and closed in 1993. The headquarters were in Greenock, Scotland and they built over 1250 ships on the Clyde.
