Inaugural pre-sale whisky tasting.

We are pleased to announce our inaugural pre-sale whisky tasting, it will be taking place in our auction room at 7pm on Friday the 9th of December the night before our wine and whisky auction. Tickets are priced at £30 per person and can be purchased directly from the auction house, just call us on 0141 225 8181 to book your place. The tasting is strictly limited to 30 places so be quick off the mark if you want a ticket. The line up for this tasting focuses on old bottlings and older style whiskies. As you can see from the list below, this will be a fantastic opportunity to see how the flavour of whisky has evolved over the past decades.
Glenmorangie 10 years old, an official single cask distilled in 1980 and bottled 1990 at 60% abv.
Balvenie ‘As We Get It’. A rare independent example of Balvenie bottled in the early 1970s by Macfarlane, Bruce & Co of Inverness at a natural 105.2 proof.
Bowmore 12 year old, an old official edition bottled in the early 1980s.
Bowmore 21 year old, bottled in the mid 1990s.
Highland Park 1973 ‘The Dragon’. An exceptionally rare and stunning example bottled privately in the early 1990s for a shop on Orkney.
Glenlochy 1969 25 year old, bottled in 1994 this is one of the earliest and rarest expressions from the legendary Rare Malts series, a beautiful example of this great closed distillery.
Laphroaig 15 year old ‘Unblended’, one of the earliest editions of Laphroaig 15yo bottled in the early 1980s.
